QR Insights vs Honest QR: Per-Code Pricing

QR Insights, a UK service, has one price and no tiers: GBP 1.99 per month for each QR code, after the first 30 days free. Every paid code is dynamic, with no scan caps, and no annual price is published. Its free generator makes static codes with no sign-up. Prices checked on the competitor's own site on 17 October 2026. Honest QR works the other way round: a plan covers a number of dynamic codes, starting with Starter (up to 12 codes) and a 7-day free trial. See current pricing at honestqr.net/#pricing. Here is how the two models compare.

Pricing Comparison

Prices checked on the competitor's own site on 17 October 2026. QR Insights prices in pounds, and we show the figure as printed rather than converting it.

QR Insights has a single price and no membership tiers: GBP 1.99 a month per QR code, after the first 30 days free. Each code has its own subscription, so the monthly cost grows with the number of codes you run. Every paid code is dynamic, scan counts are not capped, and you can cancel any code at any time from the dashboard with no contract and no cancellation fee. No annual price is published. Its free tool creates static codes with no sign-up, no email and no expiry, but static codes cannot report scans, so there is no free dynamic code. On the card, the pricing page header says no credit card is needed to start the trial, while its FAQ says you enter payment details to activate a subscription and are not charged for the first 30 days. The two statements differ, so check at sign-up.

Honest QR sells plans rather than single codes. Starter covers up to 12 dynamic codes with 30 days of scan history, Pro up to 200 dynamic codes with a year of scan history, and Business up to 600 dynamic codes with unlimited scan history. Each can be billed monthly or annually and starts with a 7-day free trial; a card is required and is not charged until the trial ends. Scans are capped at 50,000 a month on Starter and Pro and 500,000 a month on Business. See current pricing at honestqr.net/#pricing.

Which model costs less depends on how many dynamic codes you run. A single code is a small monthly amount at QR Insights. As the count grows, a plan with a code limit may suit better. We do not convert pounds to dollars here, so work it out with the exchange rate on the day.

On cancellation, QR Insights says that if you cancel during the free trial you are not charged, the code stays active until the trial ends, and it is then deactivated. Its pages do not say what happens to a code when a paid subscription is cancelled after the trial. With Honest QR, dynamic codes keep working as normal until the end of the paid period. After that, editing, new dynamic codes and scan tracking pause until you resubscribe, and the codes keep redirecting as normal for a 7-day grace period, with an email before it ends. After the grace period, scans pass through a short Honest QR notice before continuing to the destination. Nothing is deleted, and resubscribing removes the notice.

Feature Comparison

QR Insights keeps the product simple: every paid code is dynamic with editable destinations and scan analytics, with no feature tiers. Its pricing page says there are no scan caps.

Honest QR includes on every paid plan dynamic codes with URL editing, scan tracking, custom short links, PNG, SVG and PDF export, bulk ZIP export and Avery label sheets. Geo and device analytics, folders and bulk CSV import are on Business. It has no API and no team seats. The practical difference is the unit you pay for: one code at a time at QR Insights, a block of codes at Honest QR. Who Should Choose QR Insights?

QR Insights is the better fit if you need:

  • Only one or two dynamic codes and want to pay for exactly those
  • To cancel a single code without touching the others
  • A 30-day free trial, which is longer than Honest QR's 7 days
  • Prices in pounds from a UK-based operator
  • No scan caps stated on the pricing page

Honest QR fits better if you run several dynamic codes and prefer one plan with a stated code limit, or want monthly or annual billing on a single subscription. The Bottom Line

QR Insights and Honest QR charge for different things. QR Insights charges per code, with a 30-day trial and no tiers. Honest QR charges per plan, with a code limit and a 7-day trial. If you only ever need one or two dynamic codes, per-code pricing is simple. If you run more, compare the monthly total against a plan.

On cancellation, read the terms before you print. QR Insights states what happens when you cancel during the trial but not after, and Honest QR keeps every code redirecting, behind a short notice once the grace period ends. Prices checked on the competitor's own site on 17 October 2026, so check qr-insights.co.uk for current figures.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does QR Insights pricing work?

QR Insights charges GBP 1.99 a month for each QR code after the first 30 days free, with no tiers and no annual price published. Each code has its own subscription and can be cancelled at any time. Honest QR instead sells plans with a limit on dynamic codes, so see honestqr.net/#pricing. Prices checked on the competitor's own site on 17 October 2026.

Does QR Insights have a free plan?

Its free tool makes static QR codes with no sign-up and no expiry, but static codes cannot report scans. There is no free dynamic code, only the 30-day trial. Honest QR's free account likewise saves up to 10 static codes, and its dynamic codes start on a paid plan with a 7-day trial.

What happens to my QR codes if I cancel?

QR Insights says a code cancelled during the free trial stays active until the trial ends and is then deactivated. It does not say what happens after a paid subscription is cancelled. With Honest QR, dynamic codes keep working until the end of the paid period, redirect normally for a 7-day grace period, then pass through a short Honest QR notice before reaching the destination. Nothing is deleted.
